Built From Real Clinic Experience
ScheduleGuard was created by Kyle MacMillan, a physical therapy clinic owner who saw the same pattern play out every week.
A patient would cancel/no show, mention that they would reschedule, but then disappear. Despite 1-2 follow up messages.
However, every now and then he would remember to reach back out to some past patients 1-2 months later and they would be ready to reschedule.
This made him realize that many cancelled patients weren’t necessarily unhappy, there were just not ready yet. And without a system to follow up thoughtfully, they slipped away.
Manual tracking with spreadsheets and sticky notes didn’t scale. And generic reminder tools felt impersonal and pushy.
